Direct Line done differently.


The Brief

We joined forces with Prodigious to direct a series of TV ads for Direct Line. Our task was to push the creative and art direction. Bringing our signature surprise twists and transitions to build a more engaging set of films that still felt part of the classic brand.


The Approach

We took Direct Line’s red world and dialed up the sense of joy, surprise and delight to create films full of energy. Each one took the brand in a different creative direction – keeping things fresh – without losing its sense of self.

When Hazards Strike

Inspired by our favourite 90’s video games, we bought a fresh twist and evolved art direction to the brand’s visual style.

The Business of Tech

Setting the action within a digital interface for online businesses. We added plenty of playfulness and dynamism to a technical product with an execution that celebrated Direct Line’s red world.






/ Ad 3

Super Legal

We worked with the creative team to add a lot more fun into Direct Line’s legal offering. Kicking off the action with the anticipation and excitement of a big red button.





/ Ad 4

House of Cards

No matter how much you ace at being a landlord, sometimes a tenant who’s unable to pay can make everything fall down – like a house of cards. We ran with the idea, sprinkled on a little bit of magic, and showed how Direct Line makes sure the cards will always land in your favour.
